When Warren Buffett was once asked about the keys to success, he pointed to a nearby stack of books and said, “Read 500 pages like this every day. That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”
When beginning his investing career, Buffett read between 600 and 1,000 pages per day, and he still devotes about 80% of his day to reading.
This was included in an ezine I get monthly and relish – 
When I did my 2016 review – it seems I only devoured about 40 books last year – and what was most surprising is how little I got out of some of them!
So – in reading the quote above again it occurred to me that my reading might be more beneficial if I read in themes – so it builds up – so my knowledge stacks up to more results.
Please know, I’m not saying I don’t gain something from everything I read – after all, a person gets what they focus on, however is I was a bit more focused on one specific topic (like Buffett’s investing research) how much better would I be?
So I will.
I have many books already in the cue (I actually listen to books more than I read them – thank you Audible!) – and for this year, it’s about how to help/serve my clients more in their thinking.
I’ll of course keep you posted!
